In dealing with mystery it is wise to bear in mind that one is up against the unknown. Only fools are so ignorant as to want to fake cleverness in the face of the unknown. The wise ones are sufficiently humble to allow their feelings to guide them.

This book has been written for those women who are proud of being females, and who therefore wish to set their own trends and dictate their own fashions. For women such as these, to end up wearing the same dress as another woman is regrettable, but to be expected to subscribe to another woman’s ideas is an unthinkable outrage! These are the females who agree amongst themselves on one issue only, namely, that to be female is a high honour and a privilege that is unique in its quality to every female.

Therefore, only by disagreeing with each other can they stand together in safeguarding and preserving the uniqueness and the specialness that comprises each of them! These are the females who cause every male to catch his breath when she walks into the room, and to shake his head in utter bewilderment when, after laughing politely at his compliments, she pats his arm reassuringly before suddenly turning her attentions to someone else in the room, be it another male eager to please, or a female rival showing her claws by straightening her hair or skirts and baring her teeth in an overly-polite greeting. Such females make every other woman wish that she had, as a girl, paid more attention to the meaning of being a woman, rather than trying to outdo the boys.

The first time I came across the book "Unveil the Mysteries of the Female", it was quite by chance. Before picking up this book, I had never heard of the author Théun Mares, nor did I know anything about the Toltecs and their teachings. And yet, this book became an important guide for me. With every page I read, I increasingly felt how deeply it resonated with me and how it explained so much I had tried to understand on my own about being a woman. To my own surprise, I didn’t stop at reading the book just once—and eventually, I ended up translating it as well.

As a woman myself, I have spent a lot of time reflecting on what it means to be a woman. I have explored and experimented with many different teachings, pieces of wisdom, and attended various trainings in search of my femininity. Outwardly, I received many compliments, but inwardly, I didn’t feel much more connected to my womanhood. At least not until I “stumbled upon” this book. I’ve also been asked many questions about being a woman at Contriber School, where during mentoring sessions the mystery called Woman often comes up as a topic. That is also why I felt the calling to translate this book.

Within these pages are several myths that modern society shares with us women as teachings. Yet, hidden within these myths are very simple but powerful truths we are often unaware of. It’s like an ancient wisdom long forgotten, but now made accessible thanks to the legacy of the Toltec teachings. In a way, this book is like a manual for being a woman—one I wish I had been given when stepping into adulthood. I am sure much of what is written here will feel familiar and understandable on an emotional level, but Théun takes it a step further, explaining very clearly and simply the true message behind these everyday myths.

The courage to live life is the courage to walk your own path, according to your own feelings and heart. I hope you too, dear reader, will find in this book the courage and guidance to express your true feminine essence and, through that, walk the path of your own heart.

What is true success for a woman, and why is it different from the concept of success for a man?

How can a woman reconnect with her true femininity, joy for life, and personal purpose?

Why do so many women today feel unfulfilled and disillusioned, despite their achievements and opportunities?
